Looking for something a little more structured to do in Bariloche besides wandering around? Don’t get me wrong—wandering is great fun, but sometimes you want a plan that takes you directly to see the best parts that the Lake District has to offer. After all, when you only have a couple days to experience a place, you want to see as much as you can.
Tours are great opportunities to see the most beautiful and exciting parts of Bariloche while also learning a bit of background information and history. If they’re group tours, they allow you to meet other travelers and also learn a portion of what’s made Argentina the country it is today.
The following are all things you can do with us at Say Hueque in Bariloche to give you more variety during your stay.
EXPLORATION OF TRISTEZA SOUND
This excursion goes along the Brazo Tristeza, the most remote and less visited branch of the Lake Nahuel Huapi. The boat sails along this impressive sound with beautiful mountains and waterfalls. Once you reach the end of the lake, you will start a hike in the forest among amazing trees like coihues and alerces. The trail climbs up to a group of waterfalls on the Frey River, a place of great beauty. On the way back, you will enjoy lunch on board the boat Kaiken.
KAYAKING IN LAKE MASCARDI
This is the most intense one-day kayaking trip. We paddle along Tronador Branch of Lake Mascardi at the heart of Nahuel Huapi National Park. The turquoise coloured waters, evergreen forest and the amazing views of Tronador and Bonete Mountains, create this unique and dramatic landscape. One hour transfer from the Hotel to Camping Los Rapidos to stat the activity. We stop to have lunch on a remote beach.
Time to relax and then it’s back to the kayaks to continue to the end of the lake. Afternoon tea and transfer back to the hotel. Tour starts in the morning.
