Patagonia is the epitome of nature: tamed and untamed. It attracts people from all over the world to experience its breathtaking hikes, wildlife, adventures and scenery. One of the most intense and exciting things that Patagonia can offer you is an encounter with pumas in Torres del Paine National Park found in Chile.
We have a trip where you can go to Patagonia specifically to see the sleek, majestic pumas in their natural habitat. When spotting pumas, you’re seeing the kings of the land, and you can watch them slink, prowl, hunt and frolic, all without them even knowing you’re there. If you love adventure, the outdoors and photography, this is the trip for you!
It’s an experience that gets your heart thumping, your adrenaline surging, and your camera will forever love you for it. This itinerary gives you opportunities for spotting pumas as well as the most stunning flora, fox and guanaco sighting as well as a boat trip to a spectacular glacier. You’ll be going through Torres del Paine’s famous W Trek, surely to return home with many new stories and adventures you will never forget.
Each day will be started early, to take advantage of the day and witness the sunrise with coffee and breakfast on the go. After spending your first night in a beautiful Ecocamp, you’ll head to Los Cuernos (the horns) in Torres del Paine where you can observe and photograph the large variety of flora and plant life. See flowers that only bloom in certain temperatures and Patagonian plants that are unique and special to the area.
For the second day, you will get to experience a boat ride on the incredible Grey Lake to a glacier and later you’ll be brought to spot a different type of deer, or stags, which meander along in their natural Patagonian habitat. Day three is followed by more wildlife, as you’ll head to the Blue Lagoon to observe foxes and guanacos, which look quite similar to llamas.
Day five is the highly anticipated day: puma tracking. During your whole trip so far, there has been a puma tracking team in radio contact with your guide, updating him on the location of the mountain lions. They follow the pumas to make sure you can get more than just a glimpse of them before you leave, and that you can photograph them as much as possible. Seeing these powerful cats in person will leave you speechless and turn into a memory you’ll keep for years to come.
This adventurous tour will be available this March and April, so don’t miss a chance to make the year 2016 a year you’ll never forget! Get in touch with us at Say Hueque for more information on this epic adventure.
