Horseback Riding in Buenos Aires Province

Visitors to Buenos Aires interested in a unique adventure outside the realm of the city’s main tourist attractions now have a great opportunity to learn about the local culture through a number of interesting horseback riding excursions. Operated by Espiritu de Tradicion (meaning ‘Spirit of Tradition’), these excursions take passengers on horseback throughout the province of Buenos Aires, following peaceful and historic routes to explore the natural landscape of Buenos Aires and learn about the gaucho culture that developed here.

Using Creole horses, a type of horse popular for its gentle nature, each horse is carefully chosen so that every passenger, no matter their experience with horseback riding, can enjoy the excursion. Traveling along private roads used by local farmers, these safe and quiet roads ensure that beginner level riders feel safe and in control throughout their time on the horse. In addition, this route is located parallel to the ancient Camino Real, the principle road during Argentina’s early days, giving the excursion an element of history as well as culture.
